Samsung has launched its next-gen Tizen phone – the Samsung Z3 in India for a price Rs. 8,490 in India. Samsung’s Tizen offering comes with a 1.3-GHz quad-core processor, a 5-inch 720p Super AMOLED display, 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB internal storage and most importantly, Samsung’s own Tizen OS – something they are pitching as a varied offering apart from their regular range of Android devices.
Samsung Z3 specs:
- 5.0 inch display
- 1280 x 720 pixels resolution
- 1.3 GHz quad core Spreadtrum processor
- 1 GB RAM
- 8 GB internal memory
- 8 MP primary camera
- 5 MP front facing camera
- Tizen OS 2.3
- 2600 mAh battery
The Z3, considering its pricing doesn’t look as fancy as the top-end Samsung phones, but has taken its shape from them. It comes with an 8-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cam. It has taken on the baton from J2, which is its Android cousin and offers features such as Ultra Data Saving Mode and Ultra Power Saving Mode.
But Samsung has started offering a new service with the Z3 – the My Galaxy app – it collates services and offerings from Samsung at one place, while the Mix Radio app offers you 30 million tracks to choose from.
My Galaxy is not limited to Tizen and will be offered on Samsung’s Android phones as well.
The Samsung Z3 will be available in Gold, Black and Silver colours for Rs. 8,490 in India. It will be available exclusively on Snapdeal for online sale and also go for offline sale too. It offers 1GB of free data per month for 2 months for Vodafone customers.
