The Auto Expo 2016 just wrapped up. This event, which is Asia’s biggest auto show held record footfalls and had many new launches and various other attractions in store.
The Auto Expo 2016 is the biggest in the show’s 30-year history.
Whether it be Hyundai or Honda, Toyota or Tata, every brand had its beauties out on the trot to woo potential consumers.

There were many launches and new cars
Maruti Launched 3 new cars:
Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza
The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is a compact SUV. It is the reiteration of Maruti’s Grand Vitara and has been in the works since 2012. It was previously called the Maruti YBA.
Maruti Suzuki Ignis Concept
The Maruti Suzuki Ignis Concept is a ‘Micro-SUV’. It is being marketed as the ‘Kei‘ for the Japanese market. It might come soon to India.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS
The Baleno RS is a high-performance version of the Baleno. It is powered by a 1-liter Boosterjet Turbo Petrol Motor with 110 BHP power.
Hyundai brought out an SUV, a luxury car, a racing car and a concept car
The Hyundai Genesis G90 is the carmaker’s first venture into the luxury market and rivals the Mercedes S-class. It looks pretty good, but Hyundai does not have any plans for an Indian launch right now.
Hyundai Carlino concept car
There isn’t much information about this exotic looking car right now. But it does stand out. We hope it is launched soon.
Hyundai Race car
The Hyundai N2025 vision Grand Tourismo Concept is a futuristic car based on a hydrogen cell system.
Honda had its BRV launch at the event.
The Honda BRV was a crowd puller at Auto Expo 2016. It looks similar to the Honda Mobilio. The BRV is a tough SUV designed for Indian roads.
Mahindra Aero and KUV100 explorer were there.
The Mahindra Aero is one more car that caught everyone’s eyes. It looks like a mix of the Mahindra XUV and the Logan. But it is definitely a head turner and nothing like any other car at the auto expo.
Toyota launched the new Toyota Innova Crysta and Toyota Prius 2016 at the event.

The Prius is one of the world’s most popular hybrids. The revamped version looks cool and will be launching in India soon.
Toyota Innova Crysta
The Toyota Innova has been overdue for a revamp. The new model Innova will be more expensive than the older one.
The Audi R8 V10 has made its Indian debut at the Auto Expo and comes with an interior and exterior revamp. It will cost around 2.5 crores.
BMW 7 -Series 2016
The new BMW 7-series was launched at the event and is priced at Rs. 1.1 Crores. It competes with the Mercedes S-class.
BMW X1 2016
The BMW X1 is a Crossover hatch and competes with the Mercedes GLA. It is priced at 29.90 lakhs.
Tata Kite 5
The Tata Kite 5 a.k.a Zica Sedan is Tata’s replacement for the Indigo CS. We might see the AMT version of this car soon.
Chevrolet Cruze 2016
The Chevrolet Cruze has been suffering from ailing sales. The Chevrolet Cruze 2016 is a minor facelift of the Chevrolet Cruze.
Chevrolet Spin MPV
The Chevrolet Spin MPV looks like a car you would ferry your kids to school in. It main competition is the Honda Mobilio.
The Chevrolet Beat Concept is based on the international version of the Chevrolet Beat.
Fiat Linea 125S
The Fiat Linea 125S is a 125 BHP model of the Linea. It comes with a 1.4-liter Turbo Petrol Engine which it shares with the Punto Abarth.
And that’s not all. There were celebrities around.
The Toyota Mirai is a very sleek car from Toyota. It comes with a Hydrogen cell engine with 150 BHP Power output.
