Look and feel

Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus 3

In terms of looks, the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus looks sleek and feels light to hold in the hand.  The phone is a mix of metal and plastic with chrome on the edges. It is curved around the edges which makes it easy to hold.

In terms of the look and feel, it definitely offers a good deal for its price.

The backplate is metal in the middle and plastic on the sides. The speakers on the bottom look cool.

Display

Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus 1

The full HD display on the handset looks good and in the little time we had with it, seemed to function well. The viewing angles were generally good, yet the phone did hit-and-miss when you looked at it from some angles. Lenovo has made a viable VR capable Display.

Software

The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus comes with Android Lollipop OS out of the box. A Marshmallow update is pending. The interface currently looks dated but we hope that would improve with the update.

Camera

Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus 5

In terms of camera performance, based on the little experience we had with the device, the camera does okay outdoors. Yet, it gets disturbance indoors and doesn’t do well in handling exposure in the sunlight.

VR capabilities

Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus 10

VR capabilities at this price tag is definitely the head turner for this device. In the short experience we had with the device, it definitely made good of the full HD display. It works with the Ant VR which you have to buy separately.

Quick Verdict

The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus definitely looks like good value-for-money phone. You cannot expect an out-of-the-world performance from it, yet it has a lot on offer.

The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus will be available on Flipkart starting March 23.
